SPRING SOFTBALL REGISTRATION
Spring Registration is now open! We welcome all skill levels, whether you've been playing for a few years or are new to softball!
AGES:
What level should I register my child for?
Seniors - 7th/8th Grade
Juniors - 5th/6th Grade
Farm - 3rd/4th Grade
Instructional - K-2 Grade
WHEN:
What time of the year does this program run?
- Seniors & Juniors: Practices begin late March/Early April weather dependant
- Farm: Practices begin Early/Mid April
- Instructional: Practices end of April Break
** Games will begin for all age levels accept for instructional the week of April 22nd
WHERE:
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices and home games are typically held at the Pines Field in Groveland. When available practices may be held at the Donahue School in Merrimac, MA. Away games are played at surrounding towns particpating in the Essex County Woman's Softball League (ECWSL)
EQUIPMENT:
What equipment is needed?
A glove, facemask and batting hemet are required. Bats are STONGLY encouraged but we will have extra bats on hand.
GAMES:
When will games be played?
Example: Juniors & Seniors typically play 2x per week (Monday-Friday) Farm plays 1x per week (Monday-Friday).
UNIFORMS:
What is provided?
Team jerseys, socks, and visors are provided.
Farm team and up require black softball/baseball pants and cleats.
Instructional softball/baseball pants are encouraged. Leggings/yoga are acceptable. Please no jeans.
RESIDENT REQUIREMENTS:
Players must be residents of Groveland, Merrimac or West Newbury or attend one of the 3 towns Elemenatary Schools or Pentucket Middle School.
ESSEX COUNTY WOMAN'S SOFTBALL LEAGUE (ECWSL):
The Pentucket Softball teams all compete in the Essex County Women's Softball League, also known as the ECWSL, and play teams in the following towns: Newburyport, Boxford, Ipswich, Georgetown, Topsfield, Beverly, Lynnfield, Manchester/Essex and Haverhill

Registration Information for the 2025 Spring Softball Season.
Registration Levels & Deadlines:
Seniors -$135 Closes 3/1/2025
Juniors - $135 Closes 3/1/2025
Farm - $115 Closes 3/1/2025
Instructional - $85 Closes 3/1/2025
Payment will be collected at the time of registration.
There is a $25 late fee for all registrations after the deadline. We incur extra costs to expedite additional uniforms after the deadline. Late registrations for Seniors, Juniors and Farm may not be accepted after ECWSL roster deadline.
